William C. Lawlor is a Founding Partner, Chief Marketing Officer, and Director of Construction Practice at Danielsen, Lawlor, Everett, Isaacs & Dischley, PLLC. William concentrates his practice on construction litigation and advising public and private entities involved in the New York construction industry, with a particular focus on construction accidents (New York Labor Law §§ 240 and 241[6]) and complex liability matters.
After beginning his legal career in private practice, William spent several years working for one of the nation’s largest insurance brokerage firms, where he advised clients and risk management departments on construction-related risk exposure and insurance strategy. Drawing on both his litigation and risk management experience, William works closely with owners, developers, and contractors to develop coordinated defense strategies in high-exposure construction litigation.
William regularly represents clients involved in Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIPs) and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIPs), where he collaborates closely with DLEI&D’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group to address the intersection of construction liability and workers’ compensation exposure.
William is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
William received his B.A. from Adelphi University in 2006 and earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2011.
