Michael J. Dischley is a Founding Partner of Danielsen, Lawlor, Everett, Isaacs & Dischley, PLLC. Michael leads the firm’s attorney mentorship and professional development initiatives and serves as Director of the firm’s Products Liability and Commercial Transit Practice Groups. He concentrates his practice on complex general liability litigation, including construction accidents (New York Labor Law §§ 240 and 241[6]), construction defect claims, product liability, premises liability, commercial motor carrier litigation, and maritime personal injury matters.
Michael regularly handles all phases of litigation from pre-suit investigation through trial, including expert retention and consultation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. He also plays a key role in the firm’s rapid response team, coordinating emergency on-site investigations, evidence preservation efforts, and expert inspections in connection with construction and commercial transit accidents.
Michael has represented a broad range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, commercial entities, and municipalities in both state and federal courts. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Personal Injury Litigation from 2022 through 2026 and was selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2023 through 2026.
Michael is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, and the Hellenic Lawyers Association.
Michael received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2011 and earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2015. While attending law school, Michael worked full time as a law clerk at a prominent civil litigation firm and was recognized as a Dean’s List recipient.
