Kevin Dorr is a Partner of Danielsen, Lawlor, Everett, Isaacs & Dischley, PLLC and Director of the firm’s Strategic Workers’ Compensation Practice. Kevin draws on more than 25 years of experience representing corporate clients, insurers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in complex workers’ compensation matters throughout New York.
Kevin handles all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation from inception through resolution, including claim evaluation, budget and settlement analysis, hearings, trials, depositions, and appellate briefing. He works closely with clients to develop practical litigation and resolution strategies focused on controlling exposure and efficiently managing claims.
Kevin also works closely with the firm’s general liability practice groups in matters where workers’ compensation and civil litigation issues intersect. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of workers’ compensation law, Kevin regularly assists trial counsel and clients in evaluating risk transfer issues, coordinating defense strategies, analyzing lien and collateral source issues, and addressing employment-related considerations that impact high-exposure litigation.
Since 2014, Kevin has been an active member of the New York Workers’ Compensation Bar Association and is a Past President of the organization. He currently serves as an Officer on the Board of Directors and as Director of Communications for the New York Workers’ Compensation Bar Association.
Kevin is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Irish American Bar Association of New York. He is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Kevin received his B.A., cum laude, from Boston College in 1997 and earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2000.
